About

vintage color flowers & bee

Kenton Jakub and Shelley Latham started Beeswax Productions to create quality entertainment for kids — non-fiction, fiction and instructional DVDs and movies for children and their families. Our projects are live action and feature kids being kids.

BIOS:

Kenton Jakub has had 25 years experience in motion picture post production. Some highlights include: No Country For Old Men, Michael Clayton, Ice Age, Fargo, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada…(the list if you need it). He has honed his theatrical skills in a ten-year career of behind-the-sofa puppet theater, presenting shows which his three children have praised with “Yeah, it was good” and “I liked the part where you threw out the candy.” He hopes his live-action films will keep them reasonably entertained.

Shelley Latham has been performing and baking since she was 4 years old when she danced for her grandparents in her I Dream of Genie pajamas. She studied acting with Connie VanEss before heading off to the theatre program at SUNY Purchase. She performed in regional theatre, off-off broadway, industrials, commercials, etc. before trying her hand at stand up comedy. She was soon producing her own variety show in cabaret clubs in New York City combining music and comedy. Five years ago she started teaching theatre to school age kids, writing and producing a number of children’s shows. Shelley believes in theatre that is hand-made, spontaneous and joyful. She is excited to bring these ideals to Beeswax Productions.
