Want to Be Involved?

bike-woodcut.jpgWe want kids to tell us their stories! If you are between the ages of 4 and 13 and have a bike we are interested in what you have to say. It doesn’t matter if you are just learning to ride or if you consider yourself an ace. The only thing that is important is that you want to share your experiences with other kids.

How it works:

First, your parents call us and tell us you’re thinking about participating. Then you ask us any questions you have and we get to know a little more about you (your age, how long you’ve been riding, etc.). Then we schedule a time to come over to your driveway to meet you and your bike.

When we get there, your parents have to sign a release form. This is a piece of paper that gives us permission to take your picture with our video camera and use the footage in our movie and in any promotional material. Your privacy is important to us, so we will only use first names in the final film.

Then we find a good spot in the yard to shoot your interview and set up the camera. When you are ready, we start talking about bike riding and when you learned and how you learned. You can tell stories about wiping out or going really fast for the first time. What motivated you to take off your training wheels? Stuff like that. Then we will have you ride your bike in the driveway.

Once we have video-taped lots of kids, we will put their stories together in a DVD for kids to watch!
