8th grader Imogen starts a band. Max plays the drums. Lorna plays keyboards and sings. 12 year old Lucy learns the guitar so she can join. Lucy writes a protest song about Global Warming. We like it so much we make a video of it. We go a little crazy: stop-motion, rear projection, puppet shows, a life-size diorama of the arctic, a drummer in a polar bear costume….you get the idea.
Save My Polar Bear Please has been shown at Earth Day celebrations, as part of a lecture on shrinking polar ice caps at the Marine Environmental Research Institute, has been sung at school assemblies in Canada and South Carolina, and has been viewed over 9,000 times on YouTube.
